Volunteer Pharmacy: Community Retail & Compounding... is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician Near Knoxville, TN
Volunteer Pharmacy is looking for part-time and full-time pharmacy technicians to join our team. We are located in the Hardin Valley area of Knoxville at 2559 Willow Point Way, Knoxville, TN 37931.
Our ideal candidates are friendly, attentive, and experienced in pharmacy or healthcare.
Must be outgoing, willing to answer phone calls, and maintain a positive attitude. Must have a current TN pharmacy technician license with the board of pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- *Perform job tasks according to the standards of the company's operating procedures. *Provide consistent, exceptional service to customers. *Receiving written prescription or refill requests and verifying that information is complete and accurate. *Establishing or maintaining patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients *Maintaining proper storage and security conditions for drugs *Answering telephones, responding to questions or requests *Assisting customers by answering simple questions, locating items, or referring them to the pharmacist for medication information *Receiving and storing incoming supplies, verifying quantities against invoices, checking for outdated medications in current inventory, and informing supervisors of stock needs and shortages
Qualifications/Skills
- *18 years of age or older *High school diploma or GED *Registered with the state of TN as a pharmacy technician (REQUIRED) *Customer service *Problem-solving *Documentation skills *Phone skills *Listening *Resolving conflict *Analyzing information *Multi-tasking
Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $14.00 - $23.00/hour.
